Mr. Ercan, we already know you as practically a brand of success in your sector thanks to the operations and applications you perform. With your highly striking, success-oriented work, you are one of the most preferred names in the aesthetics and beauty sector. So, what kinds of services do you offer at your clinic — could we hear it from you as well?

At our clinic I perform every kind of procedure that falls within the scope of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, using the most up-to-date techniques in the world. The procedures I perform within reconstructive surgery (repair surgery) include: hand surgery, burns, wound and burn scars, open body wounds, congenital problems, jaw and facial fractures, benign and malignant lesions and masses in soft tissue, breast reconstruction after cancer, and skin cancers.

The procedures I perform in aesthetic surgery can be divided into two groups: surgical and non-surgical. Non-surgical procedures — also known as medical aesthetic procedures — include botox, filler applications (lips, nose, cheeks, jawline, etc.), thread lifting/tightening applications (face, brows, neck, etc.), PRP, facial and hair mesotherapy, and the youth vaccine (skin booster). As for surgical procedures, we can list: aesthetic nose surgery (rhinoplasty), eyelid surgery, face and neck lift surgery, breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift, tummy tuck, gynecomastia surgery, liposuction, fat injection, ear aesthetics, and buttock augmentation and shaping surgeries.

One of the most popular procedures at the moment is the Youth Vaccine (skin booster) that you also perform at your clinic… Could we get more detailed information about this procedure, and who is it most suitable for?

The youth vaccine is one of the most effective medical aesthetic methods used against aging today. We apply it particularly to slow down the aging process and reduce the effects of aging. It is a method that can be applied to all skin types over the age of 20. We most often apply it to the face, neck, hands and décolleté areas. I also use this method as a complement to other treatments for patients whose skin has been damaged by causes such as smoking, alcohol, acne, sun exposure and tanning beds.

There is no standard way of applying the youth vaccine. It is applied in 2–5 sessions according to the patient's skin structure and needs. The intervals between sessions vary between 2 and 3 weeks. Before the procedure, a numbing cream is applied to the treatment area so the patient feels no discomfort. The injection is then performed with fine needles. After the procedure, redness and small bruises may appear in places on the treated area. The redness usually disappears on its own within 1–2 hours, and the bruising within 3–7 days. After the first week, the treated area gains a lively, radiant and youthful appearance.

Mr. Ercan, with the operations you perform in breast aesthetics you continue to advance yourself further every day in this field. We also know that breast surgeries — seemingly simple, but able to vary depending on the person's wishes and breast structure — require a distinct expertise. What is the secret of your success in this area; what do you pay attention to?

The most important point to note here is that the ideal breast is a "person-specific" concept. Before surgery, the patient's wishes and expectations are analyzed fully and accurately. Afterwards, taking into account the individual's weight, height, shoulder and chest width, we achieve the ideal breast form through a successful operation.

When you hear the word "beauty," what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Could we learn your vision on this subject?

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear "beauty" is personal harmony. I believe that having achieved physical and spiritual harmony within oneself is the primary priority of beauty.

Are aesthetic operations affected by the season? Is there any procedure in which cold or hot weather causes more difficulty, especially after surgery?

Aesthetic operations are not affected by the season. However, the corset that must be worn for a certain period after surgeries such as liposuction, gynecomastia, tummy tuck, and face and neck lift can make a person sweat and feel uncomfortable during the summer months. These operations are more often preferred by patients in the autumn and winter months.

Do you have any advice you would like to give our readers about aesthetic operations? What should they watch out for?

First of all, whatever the aesthetic operation may be, the patient must decide exactly what they want and why. Whichever aesthetic operation a person wants, they should want it solely for their own happiness. No aesthetic surgery should be done because of the wishes or pressure of a husband, wife, friend, or work and social circle, nor out of a desire to imitate social media influencers or celebrities. Because beauty is unique to each person. After that, they should consult a specialist physician who knows the job.
