Light sports can be resumed after 3 weeks and heavy sports after 6 weeks, provided the nose is not struck.

Does Bruising and Swelling Last Long?

The degree of swelling varies per individual. Intense swelling occurs especially in the first 48 hours but decreases rapidly afterward. Bruising varies completely from patient to patient. Bruising typically resolves within 2 weeks. With effective creams used today, bruising can often be prevented or minimized.
